Directions to Heartland:

From the southwest, like Kansas City:

About 2 miles north of Bethel on Highway 15 take Heartland Drive (Hwy E) to the right (east). Stay on Heartland Drive (Hwy E) for about 4 miles and turn left (west) on the road leading to a water tower with Heartland written on it and a cross on top of it.

From the southeast, like St. Louis, Hannibal:

About 2 miles north of Bethel on Highway 15 take Heartland Drive (Hwy E) to the right (east). Stay on Heartland Drive (Hwy E) for about 4 miles and turn left (west) on the road leading to a water tower with Heartland written on it and a cross on top of it.

From the northeast, like Quincy, Illinois:

**  NOTE: Due to bridge work starting May 9, 2017 (and lasting up to 6 months) on Hwy. 156 just east of Newark, this route will have a detour. We recommend consulting the MoDOT Travel map for details. 

  • For gravel detour: (From Ewing on Highway 6) – Turn south onto Highway 156 until Route D. Turn left (south) on 273; turn right on 242 which will bring you back to Highway 156. Turn left (west) onto 156 until Newark, turn left (south) on Heartland Drive (Hwy E). Stay on Heartland Drive (Hwy E) for about 4 miles and turn right (west) on the road leading to a water tower with Heartland written on it and a cross on top of it.
  • Paved roads only detour: (From Ewing) continue on Highway 6 to Knox City. Turn left (south) onto Route E to Highway 156. Turn left (east) to Newark, then turn right (south) on Heartland Drive (Hwy E). Stay on Heartland Drive (Hwy E) for about 4 miles and turn right (west) on the road leading to a water tower with Heartland written on it and a cross on top of it.

From the northwest, like Kirksville:

Take Highway 6 East out of Kirksville about 25 miles to Route 15. Turn right (south) on Highway 15 and go about 10 miles. Turn left (east) on Highway 156 and go to Newark. Turn right on Heartland Drive (Hwy E) for about 4 miles and turn right (west) on the road leading to a water tower with Heartland written on it and a cross on top of it.

** NOTE: Some GPS users have found themselves on gravel roads MILES away from Heartland upon “arrival”; please use the directions above to make sure you are headed the right way!
