Salute to Freedom 2019
Looking for a great family-friendly event for our Independence holiday? Join us Friday evening, July 5th, for a “Salute to Freedom” at the Heartland Community, between Newark and Bethel, Missouri. There will be live music by The Homestead Pickers (from Branson’s Silver Dollar City), free food, and a great fireworks show. Admission is free, and will take place outdoors at 101 Nations Boulevard, Bethel MO 63434. Click here for directions.
6:00pm – Doors open with live music, kids’ games and inflatables
6:30-7:00pm – Be our guest for burgers and pulled pork sandwiches, sides, and beverage. Welcome by Pastor Kris Palmer, and entertainment.
After dinner there will be entertainment by The Homestead Pickers, a special collection of four seasoned performers, musicians, comedians, actors, storytellers, and composers with many years of experience entertaining audiences both in Branson and around the United States as well as tours of Ireland. Their performing home is the McHaffie Homestead cabin built in 1843 and located on the main street of Silver Dollar City. Their eclectic blend of fiddle, banjo, guitar, hammered dulcimer, and unique vocals depict the early days of American music, bluegrass, gospel, and even some Irish tunes with humor unmatched by any other combination.
